The Money Sessions

Sep 28, 2020

In this episode, we’re speaking with Lauren Selfridge, a therapist in private practice, who is going to be talking about what it took for her to raise her fees and why she had to change her schedule.  She actually found out on the verge of her private practice that she had MS, which really impacted how she went into private practice.

We're going to be talking about how Lauren created a private online practice that sustains her, that works for her, and allows her to live her dream life. She is living in two different countries and going back and forth. She can continue to work with the clients that she is passionate about serving and she has been able to creatively build a business. She has a podcast, This Is Not What I Ordered, and also does graphic design work, that allows her to give back.

In this episode, Lauren will share:

Her private practice journey, especially after being diagnosed with a chronic illness;

What led her to increasing her fees and how that journey occurred;

How she created a side business that allows her to give back;

What she thinks about making sustainable, consistent change in this current political, social and economic climate.
